I tried adding libsigc++ but got strange results.

I see that libsigc++ is in the database: http://ports.haiku-files.org/wiki/dev-libs/libsigc++
I have tried adding ports with "++" in the name. I didn't have any trouble doing that. You'll have to provide more detailed information.
