use the patch on the sourcetree

./configure --prefix= make make install

inside the patch you can find that some files have been edited to remove the GNUC defines, these are just warnings and haiu could use updated code in those places, but as sci is being integrated in scummvm it's probably not worth atm to put a lot of efforts in it.
