+Builds ok on Haiku.  Use ./configure --prefix=/boot/home/config with Haiku config.guess file, then make, make install.
+Confirmed that the new make works since it's now the make I'm using.  
+make --version shows 3.81 and it was build for i586-pc-haiku.
